Regular Eye Examinations are extremely important, not just for spectacle wearers, but for all patients, to monitor eye health, and as an indicator of other general health issues.
We recommend that everyone has an eyetest every two years (or yearly in the case of contact lens wearers), and the good news is that most people can claim a two yearly eyetest on either PPS or Medical Card.
Our thorough eye examination takes about 30 minutes and comprises of a full eye health check, as well as the refraction to assess any changes in prescription. The eye examination can screen for such eye conditions as myopia, hyperopia, presbyopia, cataracts, macular changes, glaucoma and other general health issues such as thyroid dysfunction and diabetes.
